Welcome to a tennis lesson from FuzzyYellowBalls, the the best place to learn how to play tennis online. Our free video tennis lessons teach you how to play the game in a new way that combines technical analysis, visual learning, and step-by-step progressions.

The second step of the one-handed backhand progressions is to play from the racket-back position. This step adds the forward swing to contact to the motion we worked on in the previous video. The technique isn't particularly difficult -- your arm and racket swing from the shoulder, as one piece, to contact -- but it's obviously important that you execute it correctly.
