Welcome to a tennis lesson from FuzzyYellowBalls, the the best place to learn how to play tennis online. Our free video tennis lessons teach you how to play the game in a new way that combines technical analysis, visual learning, and step-by-step progressions.

Please note: the concept of the "box" formed by the tennis racket, your arm and your body was first coined by Jeff Counts. He runs a great instructional website called Hi-Tech Tennis ( http://www.hi-techtennis.com ).

The first step of the windshield wiper forehand progressions is to learn how to swing and follow through correctly. Understanding how you swing up to the tennis ball is critically important. It's what separates the wiper from the "classic" forehand. Also, because you swing up to the tennis ball differently on a windshield wiper forehand, you will naturally follow through in a different way.
